Dr. Jade L. Ranger was born and raised in Bowie, Maryland. She graduated from Hampton University School of Pharmacy in May of 2012 with her doctor of pharmacy degree (PharmD). While in pharmacy school, she met her husband, and post-graduation, the couple worked for big-box chain pharmacies for almost the first decade of their careers. In March of 2019, they opened The Prescription Shoppe, a full-service mom-and-pop pharmacy located in Williamsburg, Virginia. Together they have impacted the Greater Williamsburg area by not only providing patient-centered care for their patients but also engaging with their community.

Whether through her sorority, Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc., the Virginia Breast Cancer Foundation (VBCF), or her church, Dr. Ranger has always believed strongly in giving back and makes a point to be involved in community service. She is also a member of the York-James City-Williamsburg chapter of the NAACP and serves as a board member for both Walsingham Academy and Literacy for Life.

When her schedule permits, she loves reading a good book, watching movies, and above all, spending quality time with her family. She lives in Williamsburg, Virginia, with her husband and their two boys. Their family attends New Zion Baptist Church, where they have been active members since 2011.
